All face-to-face sessions are held at the Ingatestone practice in the heart of the village. There is plenty of parking available.
Q. What can counselling help with?
I have supported clients with a vast number of challenges and issues over the years and feel comfortable dealing with whatever you would like to bring to our sessions. Each person is treated individually and with respect.
Q. What are your fees?
Prices starting from £60 per session.
Q. Do you offer a concessionary rate?
Yes. Concessionary rates are available dependent on client situation, please contact me to discuss.
Q. Is my counsellor qualified?
Yes. I have a diploma in therapeutic counselling and am a member of the BACP (the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I undertake regular supervision with a fully qualified supervisor and member of the BACP. I stringently follow the ethical and professional standards of my ethical body and regularly partake in Continuing Professional Development.
Q. How long is a session?
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are conducted at a mutually agreeable time.
Q. How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person and on how much we discuss at each session.
Q. Will my sessions be confidential?
All our work confidential. However, there are circumstances when counsellors have a duty of care and responsibility to break this confidentiality. This is in line with the BACP code of ethical guidelines for counsellors and psychotherapists. The need to break confidentiality focuses on keeping the client and others safe from harm. If I feel a disclosure poses a genuine risk for either your own safety or that of others, then I am duty bound to raise that concern with the appropriate professionals to gain further support for you. However, I would always discuss this with you beforehand.
Q. What if I need to change or cancel an appointment?
If you are late attending your session, we will still end on the original end time for the session.
If you wish to cancel a session, you are asked to give a minimum of 24 hours’ notice either by email or text message. Less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of session fee.
Q. What time are you open?
Sessions are available Daytime and Evening. Please call to discuss.
